Citizenship: 2012 - $1 Dollar Coin.

The Perth Mint produces this special commemorative Australian Citizenship one dollar coin every year (since 2009).  The design of the citizenship dollar coin portrays our nation's commonwealth Coat of Arms.  The Coat of Arms consists of badges of the six states of the commonwealth on a shield enclosed by an ermine border signifying Australian federation in 1901.  The coin is housed on a coloured presentation card depicting iconic Australian symbols.
